These kids do weed their own gardens. I doubt Thistlebloom could keep their interest if she had them slaving over the weeds in her own garden. Keep looking, Nyboy, or learn to love the peace and quiet of weeding.

It's amazing what they'll do for a charming neighbor with popsicles.

At the end of the first class meeting one of the dads stopped by to see how it went and ask me if his four had been obedient and helpful. He told the kids that if they got out of line he had plenty of chores for them. One little girl piped up with the observation that he wasn't their dad. I said don't worry, I have lots of chores too. Her face brightened and she said "Okay! I love doing chores at Kristi's!"
