We've already be assured of a snow day Friday. All the schools in the area are choosing on the side of caution and calling it off. I'll pray the most of this storm goes south to you and yours. I'm supposed to work from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm with time out to attend a co-workers funeral tomorrow.

Well our Superintendent is waiting to see... Some businesses have declared they will not open already. Travel warnings are being issued ... but he wants to see for himself what it is like at 5:00 a.m. and the prediction for the day (If any positive changes. ) It is supposed to come in waves. Then winds pick up Friday afternoon. I could use a snow day!

I thought they looked like iris but the snow threw me. I used to iris flowering late spring early summer. Would love some bulbs

there are other colors too, they are a rather wispy iris form, look for them as bulbs and not rhyzomes. i can't recall the name of the group/collection i picked up, but they have some in burgundy, yellow and white too. probably other colors, but those come to mind at the moment... the flowers last about a week to a week and a half.

oh, some of the other bulb forms will bloom later on top of a stalk, but they are not the same kind.

i like them all...
