morning grrrrrr

I like a stomp finish.

i have not looked it up yet, but it sounds fun... :)

to me walls that are smooth are just asking for trouble at some future point. i painted this whole house when they first built it, plus i redid this room when the ex-step-dad took off and left it a mess with holes/marks in the walls. it's all egg shell white and stained cedar trim. which works great for reflected light but the walls and ceilings show any bit of any imperfections.
 
Some roll on the mud, the use a stomp brush to texture it. I did both, then used a blade to create hi-lo texture with flat/smooth and texture.
 
after muding and feathering the first round of primer is on....

going to need 2 coats, but wow it sure looks better, tomorrow will be ordering 4' led fixtures to go in....

and the best part about this is dont care if i get paint on the floor...lol
 
hopefully today we will get an estimate on replacing the laundry room floor, last saturday we went by and picked out the flooring and got a rough est, since i'm done painting time to get that done so i can finish with the trim work, then the dw can purchase her new washer/dryer set...
 
he did come out only 30 mins late took the measurements, called back an hour later 735.00 hum i will need to call the wife about that price she might want to go see some other people... so 735 is your best price?
