Nawthern vs Southern

@Ridgerunner your kale looks great, you are growing my favorite variety.
@ninnymary sure you know what frozen ground looks like! After all you have a cabin to the north that gets SNOW!
@seedcorn I guess smack dab in the middle of the country, but yes WAY North in weather terms , brrr. Cold and windy here today.

Carol, me saying not knowing what frozen ground is like was just a jest. 🤦‍♀️

I'm late with this question but did anyone have blackeyed peas, collards and cornbread for New Year's dinner?

That sounds like a tasty tradition to me but I would be happy to opt for Portuguese kale until I can (perhaps) develop more of a taste for collards.

I've told you that my grandfather was an orphan and raised by his aunt and her Confederate veteran husband, right? Does that suggest that appreciation for these peas (defined however one might wish) may be an acquired taste?

Steve, will have to try to remember for New Year's, next year :)
