Bummer. What are you doing for hot water in the meantime?

Cat there is no hot water tank. Not sure how but furnace with supplies heat also makes hot water
Ah OH. Need whole new furnace and water heater. Our house came with furnace with instant hot water, which did not work very well. But we bought it 40 years ago so it was at least 50 year old technology by todays standards.

What in the world is THAT? A mis-mash of leftover parts from a junkyard? It looks added onto in all directions but the right one-OUT the door and gone, being replaced by something much more user friendly.

This is a job for the major!

Is there doggy urine / feces odor in the boiler room ? The rust is not only from old age but could be from ammonia from dog urine/ feces corrosion. So the issue could be due to corrosion mineral deposits on electronic contact points in more than one area. :hu
