Years and years ago, when I was still in my 20's, I had something similar to that window. I was out in the forest in an owner-built home in a large clearing. Beyond one line of trees was my hay field. In the clearing was my garden. My kitchen table sat in front of a window that looked out on it. Sitting there, I felt that I had escaped from a world that wasn't at all to my liking, to a peaceful little place, under a big, open sky.

and what dragged you away from that?

Too isolated from humanity.

It was a little bit of an extreme step for me that I had longed for.

The wishes of spouses and girlfriends and requirements of children have influenced where I have lived and what I have done with myself, of course.

Phaedra's environment is so much more civilized .

Autumn is coming.

Worked early in the pond area, that became jungle....after such a rainy summer. Where I cleaned today (left and lower corner) and where not yet seem (the rest) totally two worlds. I guess this will take me 1-2 weeks to clean up.

More dahlias are also coming.

Mowed for quite a while, as it will rain again for days from tomorrow. Two dogs enjoyed their time when I was working.

My soul is much older

I learned this song from university Chorus 25 years ago and love it all the way.
My daughter turns 18 next month, really swiftly fly the years.

Keep moving! This is the progress from yesterday.

After filled another two bags, feel much better!

Monster Sedum, i planted 2 tiny ones 2.5 years ago, not realizing they will become like these

But they used to be the queen of autumn in this garden, let's see if Dahlias can beat them this year

Dahlia Cafe au Lait is on the way!

Forgot the name, also on the way

Uhh, protein-full treats are also on the way....

....to my young chickens, who respond quickly will get worms, slowly ones will get vegetable

Seedlings are ready to go!

VP-2 is lovely, i like the structure more than VP-1. The rooms in the lower deck are quickly sold out.

Enough for today, time for a rest. Homemade milk tea (zimt flavor) and freshly baked sesame Bagel.
