Power is Out & Cold on the Way

Woohoo! The clouds rolled in and it only dropped to 7 below. Cold and light snow for a few days, then temperatures rebound on Sunday. And now they're saying 41 and rain(!) on Monday.

Oh, come on Linn . . . WS says that Madison WI has warmed to 9°f.

That is warmer than at anytime over the last several days!

It is nearly noon here and from an overnight low of 30° we have hit 32°! Learning to love it!

Wind chill! Ya gotta consider the wind chill iff'n you are outside tending the animals. A sunny calm 9 degrees (F) would be delightful and a low of 30 would be heavenly.

Let me give you a brief synopsis of our weather here the past couple of months... a 50 degree day or two followed by heavy rainfall, followed by a couple dreary days sloshing around in ankle-deep mud, followed by icy roads and frozen mud covered with a light dusting of snow, which will melt after exactly one day, then sling-shot back to 50 degree day...lather, rinse, repeat.

Today's sub-zero arctic winds have been downright entertaining. A lil' something different! Supposed to be sub-zero and windy again tomorrow, then back to 50 degrees for Wednesday, followed by...you guessed it...more rain and more mud.
I just wish it would snow a couple inches and hang on for a few days. :barnie

Power out at work this morning. I fired up the generator and ran the cords so I CAN keep on working - computer & related servers etc, fax, truck scale reader, printer, coffee maker (!)...... but no power = no heat. And with the cords running all the important stuff keeping the door open a little, it's gonna be a long cold afternoon if they don't get the juice running again soon.

Too cold for sitting here doing data entry .......

But still a world better than the 16 outside.

Sit on your morning newspaper.

When, if, temperature goes lower, wrap it around your midsection under your jacket.

Cold digitS' waiting for library to open.

I'm shivering vicariously for you Cane.
It's when you stop shivering that you need to start worrying. I mean, if it's still cold.
If you were shivering when it was 70 that would be worrisome too....

I hope your power comes back on soon!
