Edit - I wanted to add for these type of hardy plants, I water them with COLD water. I fill 1 gallon milk jugs with cold tap water, run until the water gets as cold as possible. I'm thinking that helps somewhat with leggy seedlings also.

I won't do this with tenders (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant) I'll water them with room temperature water.

My cauliflower, onions, kale, and spinach croaked. :(

I dont know. No green thumb here. But my tomato and pepper plants are coming up great.
