Maybe I'm the odd duck but I really like the wash tub planter. I'd leave it out above the ground so you can see the character of it and let it age some more. I'm a big fan of patina, oxidized, rust, and weather worn. It makes them unique and a bit nostalgic.

Jared, I like those too. Especially those old troughs that sweetmissdaisy has. Those are to die for! I can find those new out in Petaluma where I go buy my chicken feed. They are also not cheap. But if I had the room I would bite the bullet!
