Simple Joys

The firsts of spring and summer....first fruit tree blossoms, the first spring peepers, the first bluebirds, the first bluets and buttercups, the first honeysuckle, the first whippoorwill's call. Each year I note the "firsts" and that never gets old to me....each year it still gives me a thrill and makes me smile all the way down to my heart.

listening to the chickens mumble as they scratch & peck
rocking in the hammock after a long day mowing and watching the tree branches "sparkle" from the sun shining through
