I remember saving up for things to buy with Green Stamps, like the White Corinthian cracked glass horse statue that I still have. My DD's said that they might accidentally break anything in the house, but if they broke that statue, boy they'd be in for it!
I also remember riding out my bike on the weekend or in the summer and coming back at dark. My little town that I now live in has kids that can still do this safely, but not anymore in the city.

I'm actually sitting here right now on coffee watch using one for the first time. I can see it's going to be a character building project.
Amazing. Something I saw my grandparents and parents do so effortlessly now has me babysitting a coffeepot, worried I'll mess it up. Haha.
