Yesterday at the state park. Just me and Luke. We had a perfectly awesome ride, about an hour and a half of trot and canter, with a few walking breathers. He was very forward and wanting to go, so we did. :) Blew out all our cobwebs.

Took a last minute late afternoon ride in the mountains yesterday up a logging road.

So many things blooming! There were Woods rose, yarrow, orange and yellow hawkweed, Mariposa lily, oxeye daisy, a lily that looked like a Turks turban, Thimbleberries and wild honeysuckle. Lots and lots more that I don't know.

I took some pictures from horseback, but most were too blurry. I can't get Luke to be still and hold his breath. Here's a honeysuckle and a thimbleberry.

This view used to be filtered through trees, but it's been logged out and opened up. I preferred the former one, it was a shaded foresty route before.

We're in front of a cliff that drops down to lake Pend Oreille.

My husband claims I kiss Luke more than him.
I sent him those pics from the mountain to tease him.
