I'm sorry for all caps but this is how the Weather Service does information on record events:

"
RECORD EVENT REPORT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE, WA
1250 AM PST TUE FEB 12 2019

...RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM SNOWFALL SET AT SPOKANE WA...

A RECORD SNOWFALL OF 7.2 INCHES WAS SET AT SPOKANE WA AIRPORT
YESTERDAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 5.5 SET IN 1897." link

And, it continues to snow - right up to the present moment at 4:15am. Looks like about 8" and time to begin my multi stage snow removal program.

We received more last night than the night before. Certainly over 12".
My lovely Autobahn has disappeared, but my husband cleared most of my trails before he left this morning.
This was after he said he would make me paths when he got home. I looked at him and said 'or I could do it'.
'You got the old one started yesterday?'
'Nope. Used the new one'.
He proceeded outside and blew snow off my trails.

Maybe it was that extension cord incident that has him concerned...

It's still snowing and looks like it's going to keep up all daaaaay.:(

I haven't stuck a ruler in it, but that sure seems right. It's still coming! The paths dh cleared had a good 3" back on them when I went out to feed.
I actually got the old snowblower running after 10 pulls and a dislocated shoulder. Well, it felt dislocated anyway. Yay for me!

Ran it smugly about 20 feet and it died, and smelled funny. Tried to start it and the pull cord wouldn't budge. Oops.I think it has seized. Dh got home early and I told him it went belly up and he said maybe it needed oil. Oh shoot. I didn't even think to look first.

He's out there clearing again, it's going to be rinse - repeat for several days I think.
