We also set a near record high. (2nd highest) Got to 90 degree. 74 is the average for this day. Flash flooding and rivers/creeks rising all around. Wet fields. Need to dry as soy beans are dropping leaves and need to be harvested soon.

I don't know about you but it's far too soon for winter to come for me. I like winter, just not 9 months of it.
But it's a nice feeling at least that the hay shed is stuffed, the woodshed has 2 years worth of wood, and we have a new snowblower that is up to the predictions of another record breaking snowfall this season.

The situation in 2018 has been far too common for the health of western forests. Our "natural environments" depend on normals. Breathing smoke all summer ... so, pleased not to have that to deal with.
