the phrase, "rinse, repeat" seems very fitting for this time of the year. high humidity, a lot of rain (more in the forecast for today) and day after day. i don't mind the heat as long as my body can tolerate it - i get a bit better each day but i'm not pushing it too hard as i sure don't want to get sick.
That's good. Take care of yourself ;)

Quite the change over the recent 3 days in afternoon highs.

97⁰f (35⁰C)
92⁰f (33⁰C)
75⁰f (24⁰C)

Somewhat consistent was the wind with gusts hitting above 30mph (48 kmh). There is a fire quite near the US/Canadian border that was 0% contained, the last time I checked. Fortunately for this neighborhood, our air quality has been okay.

Heat builds today but we did take some advantage of yesterday's more reasonable lower degrees by shampooing the carpet in the South Room, with open windows and fans running for hours & hours.

we had a 20F cool off last night with several good rains and today it is supposed to stay about the same temperature.

already i've been out to pick some green onions and pea pods and peas and will go out again in a bit and finish going through that patch as there are plenty of peas close to being ready to pick either for fresh eating or to finish drying off. it's a good day for such a project because i won't be mucking about in the gardens otherwise.
