I grow pumpkins and honestly they always come out lousey. Some good but most are 'warped' and more.
Any good tips I am missing on growing pumpkins? Is there a secret to that perfect one? just wondering if you have any suggestions.

wouldn't fumes from propane and kerosene be more harmful to plants in an enclosed small space? just wondering.
edited to say, is there anywhere in the home you can winter them over? I am lucky I have a monster mudroom and it works as a catchall for things like that.
I am NC and my carrots never did well. No matter how soft and nice I made my soil...they never took off for me.
Are you doing anything special in SC to get those carrots? just wondering.

I lived in PA for about 8 years. You couldn't put the tip of a shovel in the ground without hitting a rock, no wait, BOULDER.
