Nyboy, that sounds amazingly a lot like child labor of the sneakiest type. For sure there are some students that would love to give Thistleblooms vehicles a washing. I agree, there are few children who could resist a water fight over the hood of a car. To make it a gardening effort isn't true enough for this teacher to manage, though.
