Journey a friend made cool hose guards from the old glass telephone pole insulators. She just glue them on to copper pipe cut to size she wanted.

I think Bay has some brown ones that where on the poles she got. You can always put ad for them in wanted section of CL.

Oh! I do that too!
Mom had a huge box of them in her garden shed, so my sister and I split them. I even made some for one of my clients. She thought they were path lights and wondered why they didn't come on. Ha.

She has them in front of house flower beds they look great, will only get better looking when copper pipe ages.
