My main hobby is gardening (of course), although I also have a passion for building high-end computers, hunting, fishing, wildlife photography, taxidermy & cooking. I stay pretty busy in retirement.

Mrs. Ranch has always been big into quilting (all hand stitched) & has won both county & state awards quite a number of times. Unfortunately, hand-quilting is becoming a lost art... especially among the younger crowd.

Amazing!

I have no talent whatsoever. DB can draw, paint, do about anything, but he quit, mostly because of his eyes. DD has some talent with photography and DS would like to learn to do something, actually, my job is not making enough money since I have lost income with DH not here, that I am seriously thinking of taking sewing lessons and starting some kind of side hobby/business. I know somebody that had an Etsy store. She can crochet really well, but she just made cup cozies and brought in a couple hundred a month just messing around. I started sewing potholders and burp clothes for DD's baby coming in August. Here is a picture of one I made and the painting is one DB did about 20 years ago of one of our dogs, Duke. He also made the frame.

Annette, those vases are so beautiful! Just magnificient.

Ranch, I loved that first quilt. Hard to believe it's made by hand. It's just perfect.

Moose, that brooch made me swoon. So so beautiful. It's exqusite.

Me, I don't have any talents. :(

DB had a lot of talent.

It is a shame he stopped. He could draw when very young and got F's in art in school because he would not finish and hand in work before the bell rang. Had to be perfect. He had a big oil painting of a cowboy riding fast on a horse with a desert background. He threw it away. The only reason the greyhound did not get thrown away was he gave it to DD.

Those vases are really nice , and those carved fish are super awesome.

That elk and its setting are sign of real talent, and mrs. ranch's quilts look impressive at the very least.

We have some talented members here, I have to look through my photos to see what I have to post if anything lol.

Both my wife & I thank you (& others) for your kind words, Collector...

BTW, that mount is a Sika deer (not an elk). Sika deer are native to Japan & Southern Sibera. They are considered an 'exotic', thus they are open season here in Texas due to them competing for forage with our native whitetail population. Same goes for the Axis deer.

One of our grandaughters, DS#2 daughter is also very talented and has her own photography business unfortunately she has had to put this on hold for the time being, she is also battling cancer.
It's been a tough year but we have our fingers crossed, it looks like there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Her last doctor's visit he came in all smiles, she's still got a long road of recovery to get through but we are really hopeful she is over the worst. They have two of the sweetest little girls. When her brother got married she did the photography. This one she did in black and white, taken on top of a mountain, the bride has hiking boots under that beautiful dress of hers :).

I thought she took it down but apparently her web site is still up, if you want to take a look, I don't think she'd mind me posting it here.

Annette, I just visited Nicoles site. Her images are very beautiful and tender. I hope she has a complete recovery and is able to continue capturing those moments she has such an eye for. I am going to look into her note cards. I like having a little piece of beauty to pass along.
