Today I am replanting just about everything that needs to be replanted!! My fence is up!!! :weee I did it myself on Sun., afternoon pounded in all 9 t-posts. Dh did help with moving some more chicken wire over there & splicing it together, then he cut the excess off & stapled the end...
Now to get my other plants replanted that either died or critters got(my homegrown seedlings of course). I will replace 8 of the 11 I originally planted of seedlings. 15 plants should suffice to feed us, my parents & ds#1(on his own), plus make ketchup, spaghetti sauce & other canned tomaotes.
Every yr we rotate our crops in the garden. The same with my raised beds too. Plus I plant green beans & peas in the fall & harvest them over the winter so the 2 rows who do not get tilled under get back anyway.
That's a thought I didn't think of. Maybe I can go get some of those. I wonder how close together to plant them for maximum benefit. My zukes & yellow squash that was up yesterday is gone today. Thanks!
All good ideas, but my garden is so big & everything is everywhere that is getting eatten. I really appreciate the ideas & help but we just need to get our fence done asap. BTW it is a fence made of chicken wire & helps to keep the rabbits out pretty good. But the prarie dogs can climb it...

just remember they will dry out faster than an in ground bed so they will need more water. Not all yr but during the warmer mos you should have berries.
