Today I am replanting just about everything that needs to be replanted!! My fence is up!!! :weee I did it myself on Sun., afternoon pounded in all 9 t-posts. Dh did help with moving some more chicken wire over there & splicing it together, then he cut the excess off & stapled the end...

Now to get my other plants replanted that either died or critters got(my homegrown seedlings of course). I will replace 8 of the 11 I originally planted of seedlings. 15 plants should suffice to feed us, my parents & ds#1(on his own), plus make ketchup, spaghetti sauce & other canned tomaotes.

WE paint some of our tires, we leave some black for winter planting to warm up the soil better.

I found 2 tomatoes on a plant & all the others have blossoms for my store bought plants(7 total). :celebrate

Every yr we rotate our crops in the garden. The same with my raised beds too. Plus I plant green beans & peas in the fall & harvest them over the winter so the 2 rows who do not get tilled under get back anyway.

That's a thought I didn't think of. Maybe I can go get some of those. I wonder how close together to plant them for maximum benefit. My zukes & yellow squash that was up yesterday is gone today. Thanks!

We have low flush toilets installed in all the new houses & that is all they sell here too.

All good ideas, but my garden is so big & everything is everywhere that is getting eatten. I really appreciate the ideas & help but we just need to get our fence done asap. BTW it is a fence made of chicken wire & helps to keep the rabbits out pretty good. But the prarie dogs can climb it...

There are "green" sealants out there. Check MEN website as they have ads for them all the time in their mag.

just remember they will dry out faster than an in ground bed so they will need more water. Not all yr but during the warmer mos you should have berries.

Mine are in tires so I just fill the top of the tire with water & let it soak in a few times a week.

Some trees are self pollinating & you probobly have one of those. Plus the bees help to make it more productive for you. I have a self pollinating apple tree that we planted last month. There are self pollinating pear trees too.

We have a fence but it needs some repair work & expansion done. When I told dh they were eatting on his corn seedlings he said we need to fix the fence asap!(figures). I did find a few more seedlings popping up yesterday morning(we will see if they are still there today) so not quite as much...
