    I didn't get to pickle any of those but I have planted some and can't wait to try that receipe mamaspider and yep it will have extra garlic. Missprissy I love pickled okra as well and I do know how to do that but the sad thing is the kids eat it before I get a chance unless I hide some jars...

    I planted broccoli for the first time too. Thanks everyone for the great tips. I just got a huge 10 lb bag of flour free so I know where that will go and next year I will plant it by the corn because of Steve's tip.

    Houston We have a problem

    We finally got our garden planted last Wed and that night and next day we had a very bad rainstorm so my garden looked like yours for a little bit. Everything is starting to come up but our Mater plants look pitiful~they have yellow edeged leafs now. Good Luck and hope yours drys out soon.

    We got 2 bushels dirt cheap and my mom was telling me that she had recently talked with someone who loves pickled green beans. I have never heard of this so I was wondering if anyone on hear had ever heard of it and if you have tried it.
