Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. ~ Aldous Huxley

Back in July of 2020, I wrote a note to @baymule @Carol Dee @seedcorn about DW's healthcare. I started to respond to that, nearly year old note, to update. Decided that I would give my response a day or two and think about editing. I learned that saving drafts in PM's must be for a limited amount of time, only.

That's okay. We went in to a regular appoint with her MD specialist Friday and were told -- "continue to wear your mask and maintain social distancing." At first, I thought that this was "abundance of caution" advice. He stopped and repeated it again before we were out of the room. Then, sent it in an "after visit" summary.

So, there we have it. NO Changes in what we have been doing for 15 months! Vaccinated people can be met in the "outdoors," he said. Ignoring this healthcare advice seems very unwise. And, I'm the other resident in the home.

Sorry, I don’t remember the conversation. But I forget a lot of things. Hopefully things turn out well for all.

You do the definition of an expert? He’s 50 miles from home...... maybe now on the faceless internet. A seldom quoted fact is that 100% of people who eat kale, die. Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

The American Medical Association says 96 percent of practicing physicians have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

“Of the physicians who are not yet vaccinated, an additional 45 percent do plan to get vaccinated,” the AMA.

When the number of COVID cases in the state are announced on the news, could they also announce how many of those cases were people that were not vaccinated?

That number isn’t reported out on a daily basis. But based on data from the state between the start of the year and May 25, there were more than 342,000 new COVID cases. Only 6,467 of them were in people who were fully vaccinated. Basically 98.1% of those cases were in unvaccinated people. Incidentally 98% of the deaths in that same period were also in unvaccinated people.

105 in the ICU and 56 on ventilators. overall case number coming down. hope we can really beat this down good before the new variants get going even worse and kick things back up again. the best defense is still getting vaccinated.

Mom says that at the store most people are still wearing masks.

Out of It? Nope.

Percent of ALL US staffed adult ICU beds filled with COVID patients:

A problem for the vaccinated? Not so far: Of ALL hospitalized COVID-19 patients, Arkansas reported the worst case for the fully-vaccinated at 0.06% Kaiser Family Foundation That is, it is not a problem unless the vaccinated need those beds for some other reason than C-19 and that everyone is paying for this in a multitude of ways!

Steve
The northern counties of Idaho now have more hospitalized from C-19 than they did a year ago at this time.

Michigan was doing good and has been going backwards again like every other state, but not as bad as some. still it is all sad, because so many of those cases could have been prevented entirely and not counting that each person who gets infected is a potential breeding ground for yet another version.
