Those would be perfect! The copper patina would eventually age to match that teal blue too, I think. I see those insulators for sale in the trader's guide around here every so often. People usually want like $5-8 each for the blue ones.

Ava got a blue ribbon on two of her fair exhibits! The recycled glass birdbath and also her spring wildflowers project (pressed specimens). This was her first ever entries at the fair.

i have a friend that is an antique dealer who has a huge stash of those glass & ceramic insulators. i happen to notice them in her barn last year when checking it out during an 'open barn' yard sale she was doing. she won't part with a lot of them at this time but i'm hoping i can sit down with her to go over the differences & what to look for. i find the chipped ones a lot at flea markets & yard sales in the area. those are the ones that can be cheap to get.
