Flowering Quince Flower.

Hey @seedtrader-teg I see you have jumped right in and made yourself at home. We love photos. I recognized the Quince right away. Grandma had a bush by her back door.

They're actually edible, but seedy, sour, and hard to peel, but an edible that can be made into jam, or added to a pie.

Free food, I can't complain too much.

I have heard of eating quince. I didn't know (for sure) if flowering quince was edible. I have a salmon-flowering variety much like yours that gets quince as large as apples. The other flowering quince I have is more orange-ish and has cherry tomato-sized fruits.

Thanks for the info. Now I will have to check up on quince recipies.

Just had the same thought when I read your Pinky-winky thread. That photo should be on POW. And again when it actually is Pinky, perhaps.

I got pretty close to this busy garden guest today! I'm usually petrified of bees, hornets, wasps and the like, but these little guests are so focused on their work, they don't seem to see anything else. They only seem to target flowers, not me, like the others, so I usually just stay out of their way. This one was so near, and oblivious, that I decided to try and capture it on "film", and I did it!

Pollinators of all kinds, just love these spreading flowers, but I have forgotten their name. Anyone know?
