Says he was the first person in TX killed by an alligator since 1836. Wow. So like seven generations of people before him had better sense than to swim with alligators. In all fairness, he wasn't from the area (St. Louis...MO, I'm assuming), so perhaps he underestimated the seriousness of the danger. And was probably drunk. It's sad. Harsh way to go.
