Looks like I won't be planting my tomatoes today. Rain Rain Rain Rain! The forcast is for rain until Thursday. Argh!!! Oh well, I can still get my flowers started in pots.

Hey Country Girl! We're neighbors! It looks like we might get a little dry weather tomorrow afternoon, so I'm going to try & take advantage.

Okra and beets went in yesterday. Today I moved my dill seedlings to the back corner of the garden, we'll see if they get enough sun in that spot to do anything. I'll scatter more seeds around them and see what happens. -Wendy

Wendy, are we allowed to move dill around in the garden?

I'm just wondering . . . sometimes there aren't many plants where they are supposed to be but they get run over where they shouldn't have even tried to volunteer :/.

They have such deep taproots, I'm wondering if my dill would survive a move.

Yes, we are neighbors. I'm in Franklin County, north of you. If it stops raining late tomorrow afternoon I might be able to plant, but I work until 4:30PM. Thanks for the heads up. I did pot Sweet William and two kinds of hot peppers.

We are getting rain right now! Its supposed to be in the mid 30"s the next 2 nights, so have covered the tomatoes, cant get around the peppers (too muddy) so they will just have to be brave!

Started today (finally) indoors:

Hungarian Hot Wax peppers. Yep, it's quite late to be starting peppers, but one of my hot peppers had such a lousy germ. rate that I decided I had nothing to lose.

Minnesota Midget melon

Sweet Siberian melon

Blacktail Mountain watermelon. This one I've never grown, but I'm very excited about it. It was developed locally, right up the road from me actually, and it's early, sweet, and stores for two months without losing quality.

And sanvitalia, the tiny little zinnia that looks like a sunflower. This is late too, I won't see blooms until mid July, but it's a favorite. :coolsun

I have 2 growing kids ages 3 1/2 and 2 plus my hubby I can and freeze a lot of it. What I have left over I sell or giveaway. I sell some to my egg/rabbit customers so that helps.
