Who Has Plans Tonight ?

Going to a NYE service at church which ends around 8pm, then heading over to my sister's house to hang out, eat, and watch the ball drop. Maybe a couple other friends with young kids there too. The kids will get to play and stay up late.

It does make me a little nervous with even a 15 minute drive up the road to home, knowing how many drunks will be out this evening. If we leave right after midnight, I think it's better, since the bars don't close until 2pm.

Happy New Year's everyone! Hope 2015 will be your best garden yet.

(I toast with bubbly grape juice these days. ;) )

We watch NYC New Year on TV....yawn.....

Cooking lunch tomorrow for Mom and some friends. Fried pork chops, black eyed peas, cabbage, cornbread, deviled eggs and lemon chess pie.
YUMMY, I would think about hopping over to snitch some deviled eggs and pie if the drives wasn't so FAR!

I just got home from Fresno where we were visiting family. Too tired to cook so I think I can convince my husband to dine locally. Will defintely be in bed by 10:00pm. I've never waited or celebrated New Years.

Will do, @flowerweaver!

DH and I had a quiet T-bone dinner at home. He threatened to spend the night in the recliner, but quickly gave up and went to bed early. I'm checking in here and going to bed when I'm done. No big celebrations here. No NYE celebrations since we were dating. Come to think of it, I wasn't much for celebrating the new year before we dated. He thought we needed a night of bowling or movies to celebrate the two years we dated. Once we were a couple, kids and life put the day into perspective. . . just another day.

Kid#2 treated us to a trip to the movies Monday night, it happened to be the late show and we didn't get home until 1:30 a.m., so that was my big night for the year. I may or may not be up until midnight. Either way is okay.
