It's a beautiful fall day today. I took some time yesterday and cleaned the deck so we could sit and enjoy the cooler weather.

we're finally getting a squall line going through with some rains and winds. not sure how much wind comes along behind, but it was still pretty warm out there a while ago so this is probably the cold front part coming through and it will cool off.

And, we are finally experiencing a frost in the backyard, 29°f (-2C). So incredibly late this year. So close to freezing so many times.

Okay, I've said it before - my gardens have experienced a light frost at the end of August on two different occasions. My planning is for a mid-September frost. If we have 2 more weeks until the 1st of October, good!! Early November??? Where in Tarnation am I?

Clear sky and moonlight but radar shows likely snow flurries soon. High of 43° (6C) and more snow tomorrow. In the teens and with no thawing by Tuesday. Fairly typical November weather - although, I remember Well Below Zero by this time, several early Novembers, back a few years.

there were a large number of people without power today from the winds last night, but it looks like they're making progress on getting them back to lights.

Rained on and off yesterday. Drizzled a few times today but seems to be clearing. Currently in the 80s here. The 10 day forecast is looking dry and 70s-80s until next Saturday when it’s supposed to freeze again. I’m hoping for snow soon. Being so rare I really enjoy the beauty of it. It being rare also makes it likely to be an extra day off work for me

It rained today but we still got a lot done in the garden. I also washed all my winter squash and will bring them back inside. I'm so tired.
