Do You Battle a Invasive Plant ? NY Ban Sale of Certain Plants

Ya'll complaining makes me wonder if you still get up to turn the channel?

I have both systems and have had no problem with either for the past couple of years since the grands quit watching videos here. My biggest problem is keeping the space wasters dusted.

"Your older than you think if...

You remember when "don't touch that dial!" meant something."

Though technically you DO have to get up in the back bedroom to turn the TV on, it isn''t 100 compatible with the cable box, so the remote can't do it automatically.

My issue with DVD's is as I said, trying to use them for recording the way I watch. a lot of what I want to save are clips, so they are only a few minutes long and as I said, most players don't let you take a disc out of the machine and have it play again without going through a finishing process that makes them incapable of being recorded on again. So I'd win up with thousands of DVD's each of which had 2 minutes of stuff on it.

Plus when a tape breaks, there are things I can do to fix it, unscrew it swap parts out (I keep my broken VHS's now for parts) etc. I even sort of know how to splice torn tape ribbon. If a DVD breaks, that's it. You want to watch that thing again, you have to find another copy (not easy for some of the stuff I have)

@Nyboy what brand of DVD player? My LG skips like crazy but I got another brand at Black Friday-no problem. LG is noted for skips.

I love how minds and topics wander off on TEG.:hide This thread began with invasive plants, wandered to geese, deer, poachers and Disney & then veered off to DVD and VHS players. LOL :D

Carol I once had a friend say to me " I love going out with you, you never know where you will end up"
