Long story short a piglet wandered into my yard about a month and a half ago. Nobody claimed him so he is ours now. My plan is to use him to roto-till and fertilize my new 10 X 20 garden plot for next year's garden. Oh boy, is he a great roto-tiller!!!

I'm ready to eat these puppies! They have all of these nooks and crannys full of pete and soil. Is there a good way to get them clean without soaking them or damaging them? (I don't have any special tools like mushroom cleaners etc, just regular old kitchen utencils.)

I have a back pasture full of fist sized chanterelle mushrooms that I came across looking for firewood this afternoon.
I picked 4 of them hastily and then thought there might be a certain way to pick them so more mushrooms will return/spore.

This weekend at a market day and plant sale, I had the most delicious sandwich that was sprinkled with coarse"lavender salt". The salt was actually light purple in color. The sandwich was made of toasted sourdough, smoked salmon, a cream cheese smear and lavender salt sprinkled on top. :drool...

I just pulled up my first radishes, yea for me!! The radishes are huge, I may have waited too long. The greens are incredible! I was wondering if they are edible? I always fed them to my tortoise when I got them from the market.
