On first house, foundation will have to be replaced. Inside gutted. Like the ~50 acres though. Looks like $$$$ pit.

Not sure to your wife's tastes but second place has been renovated. 43 acres looks like hay ground. Between hay barn and hay ground, everyone could bring their horses......

Well shoot, mabe they will take less as it needs so much work, an offer can always be made. A house in that condition with 50 acres in these parts would be closer to $400,000 to $500,000. One reason we are still here in town. We can't find anything in a price that would be affordable payments in our retirement years.
