It doesn't work on my IPad, but I have yet to fire up the old boxy computer. The photos of wear I should look for the hand and the edit button are helpful.

I have tried several times and I have not been able to put my location.

Did you click on the red EDIT icon? Once you've clicked that you'd get the little hand icon and the blue pin on the map. Click the pin, then go to the spot on the map where you live and click a few millimetres above where you want it to be (my first attempt dropped me in the ocean LOL).
