This week, I got to take down my greenhouse that was in just the wrong spot, thanks to my daughter in law, who insisted that they help me do things that needed doing while they were visiting.
Took two days to get it down. Its stacked up out of the way.
I was dreading having to do this by myself.
I had plonked it right in the middle of my vegie garden where it just did not work.

Today the corn is up far enough to be hilled up for the first time, so will be doing that and planting some more half runners there. Will also put out some squash and cukes in that patch. After that I'll try to get that corn and beans hilled one more time before adding hay to the floor of that patch so I won't have to worry about weeds there. LOVE a weed free garden....not having to worry about weeds is half the battle of gardening.

Also time to put up trellising for the maters...they are starting to look pretty good, strong and sturdy looking, one has some bloom even.

Everything else is growing well, looking good. Green's patch is over the hill, so am letting the ducks mow that down for me....they've left it alone all this time but somehow knew it was time to take it down. I agree with them, so am letting them gain the nutrition from the overgrown lettuces, chard and bok choi. Will till that under when they are done and plant more bok choi and chard there...am really liking the red chard! Never had grown it or eaten it before, but I think from now on that will be part of my gardens.

i like the chard more than i do beets. it is so much easier to pick, clean and use plus i just like having more green stuff. i used to grow it but not the past few years. i was growing it but not eating it (due to Mom not liking it) so i figured to put more efforts into the things we both do eat. i was happy to get peas planted for a change this year. :) they're doing ok so far.

That's what I was thinking, Seed....that's a lot of peppers for personal use, so I'm thinking selling?

Got some good looking turnips out there that have grown large enough to eat...can't wait! I don't particularly like them cooked, but love them raw with salt on them.

Got the garden tilled (thank you neighbor!) and it's ready for more stuff than the one puny row of tomatoes. Maybe tonight if I'm not too tired.
I got up at 5:00 this morning to get outside chores done before going to work but sat down for a minute to watch the hummers outside the window and dozed off. :\

51 more? Do you sell them? How many will you have out?

I don't sell them. I fry a lot and DD and her husband make stuffed ones and DD's husband puts them in eggs for breakfast. I chop them up and put in the freezer and use all winter. One year I made Jalapeno jelly. I think maybe they are not producing as well as could be because a lot of people have said to me that's a lot of peppers and what do you do with them. Actually, this is about half as many as usual. :hide
