I had to look up that word "albedo." Yes, and that light isn't lost to us Earth dwellers - even if it's overcast.

The other "day," DW opened the curtains at 6:30. The clouds had dropped a little snow on us, the moon was very nearly full, and it was 6:30 AM. It was so bright outside! Easy to see most everything even before "civil twilight." Civilization's streetlights helped.

We can celebrate @Artichoke Lover 's dodging of the storm, I hope that was also true for @Dirtmechanic .

Oh not that lucky. We have had the pleasure of being in multiple cones of doom at the same time on radar. It has mainly been wet, only one tree limb down. We ducked a tornado last night. It lifted prior to arriving in our area but started up again to our east shortly after dumping some Noah level rain here.

The City sends someone to clear your sidewalk, then bills you exorbitantly for the labor. I don't know how the elderly or disabled deal with that, it strikes me as a form of discriminatory harassment, disguised as "public safety".

DD's neighbor just passed away last month & has a corner lot. We don't know if the City will be handling that, but DW & I cleared a path to the corner so that people could at least walk through.
Not so much snow but they council has neglected this road for weeks, it's disgusting

It’s rained on and off here all day. The sun faintly came out for a while around 2:30. Severe weather forecasted again tomorrow night with snow flurries for Sunday night possible.
Snow. I literally cannot remember the last snow here. I probably posted some pics and should look them up.

it's snowed a few dozen times here already this season. most of those events already melted off each time too and the same likely with the snow we're due to get tonight as today is warm forecast and perhaps some rain until later when it gets colder again.

all these weather changes and frost heaving is why i can't ever plant strawberries too late in the fall as if i do by the spring most of them will be frost heaved right out of the ground.
