Brandywines can be pink, red and I beleive they are also available in a brown or "black" too. The pink is my favorite!

Looks like leaf blight not leaf spot...not that it really matters. lol Pick off the bad leaves and burn them or replace the plants if they are sending new ones. Get some mulch under the plants to reduce rain splash.

If I had a tomato that was REALLY important to me and i couldn't pick up more seeds someplace esily I too would move a couple waaaaay over there to protect them! :)

I means it COULD happen. I asked our county extension agent about this at class last week and he said that the chances are slim that they will cross because of the way tomatoes pollinate.

I try to never let my small seedlings dry out. They need to be kept at least damp when they are first starting out. It also sounds like you may be over fertilizing. Most seedlings that are started in a starting mix need NO fertilizer until they are much bigger.

You can "tip" them like raspberries to create lateral growth.

I have Virginia Creeper that Mother Nature planted on my chain link fence. It runs about 50 feet down one side and I have to beat it back from the gate to keep it open. lol Last year the Japanese beetles chewed it to pieces but that kept them out of my garden. :)

It's really hard to tell anything without seeing the seedlings and even then on such small plants it might be hard. Sounds like it MIGHT be damage from temps or wind.

Agreed. They will be fine just let them go and they will be up out of there in no time. I leave about 8-12" of mine out.
