    Naps.

Please do not respond to spam. Just report it. It makes more work for our staff when we have to get rid of a spammer, then go find the thread to see if any other clean up needs to be done. Plus when I remove the post from behind the scenes, it makes your posts look nonsensical. I cleaned this...

I'm having some technical problems lately

It is a weekend, so response may be slower. Try clearing your cache and redoing your log in setting and see if that works. I know whenever my browser does an update I get logged out of a lot of things.

    Conspiracy

Yup, we all have those days. The secret is to deal with them in the proper spirit. For instance, if something say, on a message board is causing those feelings, best thing is to discuss via Private Message, with a Staff member. If it is at work, then a chat with your supervisor might be in...

    Peas

Well, I have my peas out. I planted about 100 of my 200+ starts, then I got busy getting my Garden Shop ready to open for the season and forgot to water the ones still int he house and they died. Still, 100 plants should geive me plenty. I planted 12 brussels sprouts plants today as well. I...

The slugs have started!! KILL KILL KILL

We put our ducks to to work to take care of the slugs when we lived in Oregon, Land of the Monster Banana Slug. Of course then we had to fence the garden off from the ducks.

    Peas

I told my husband I was just going to string fishing line to the tops of the windows and grow them in the house. He gave me a dirty look. :lau I love peas, too! I want to dry some and can or freeze some, so they won't go to waste at all.

    Peas

My 250 pea plants are 6 inches tall. A cold front bringing snow and hail has prevented planting. Who would have thought a packet of seeds had so many. :th I have Tupperware containers of pea plants EVERYWHERE!

    Septic field planting?

Our rental house in Oregon has a sand filter system. When we lived there, we used to scatter several packets of assorted wildflower seeds on top. The flowers that thrived best there in the warmth generated from the sand filter were the California poppies. They never froze and bloomed almost all...

    Peas

A day late, but I put my peas in the starter plugs. Most sprouted in 3 days so I am not wasting space with dead-o seeds. Now if it would stay above freezing at night.....

    Peas

It is still cold here, but I am thinking I might be able to get cool weather stuff in by the first or mid April if I get them started in the house. I have been turning the garden soil with a pitchfork and it is getting nice and deeply soft and crumbly. I love Oregon grape! When we used to go...
